Plugged it in using an actual HDMI cable, without any adaptors, my GPU recognizes it as the actual monitor, the native resolution is properly displayed both in the NVIDIA Control Panel and the settings of the game and what do you know, it works properly.

For some reason, the game forces my native resolution into the game, even if I set it to 16:9 ratio and 1920x1080 resolution in the game. (I repeat, I can use the 16:9 ratio and 1920x1080 resolution with no problems) That being said, I can use the 16:9 ratio and 1920x1080 resolution with no problems, BUT my native resolution is displayed as 1024x768 both in the NVIDIA Control Panel and in the settings of the game. It recognizes it as a Generic Plug and Play monitor. Everything works fine, but because of that adaptor, my GPU cannot recognize as the actual monitor (BenQ G2420HBD don't judge, I know it's old). I am using a very old monitor, no HDMI available, so I had to use an adaptor (VGA to HDMI). I have the same issue, and I kind of know what's causing it (at least for me), but I can't seem to fix it.
